haha...according to lj, its been 88 weeks since i've updated this blog!! crazy. my last post was august '06, when i was dating shayne. so i'm back! i'm happy, single, hoping to soon become a graduate student, i have my bachelor's degree, travelled to so many places in the past year, and couldn't be happier. yay! so i'm back, and i just thought i'd let y'all know. =) bye all.

i came to asheville. i was a slacker and didn't feel like camping. i booked a hotel and got some fabulous sleep. :) and free cable, lol. oh and free breakfast.

despite devasting news concerning a close friend, yesterday was refreshing. being in the company of great friends on a beautiful day, with lots of sweetwater brewing co.'s finest beverages..was amazing. not only was the weather gorgeous, but this was the first i saw of the new tasting room. it looks awesome!

we went to Smith's afterwards, played darts, pool, and fooooosball (i lost, in both darts and foosball), drank, ate, talked. yay for good times with great people.

p.s. i sign my lease today!

An amazing paddler died on March 7. He was an icon and a huge inspiration to many. Daniel DeLaVergne will be missed by everyone who knew him and knew of him.
